Fish's Story

Describtion:
The story simulates what happen in the sea everyday. The small fishes swim in the water freely, However, they have to face the dangers--the hunter. Here, our hunter is a shark. In small fishes' point of the view, the shark is stronger, is the evil. However, for shark, the fish is just the food. If itcan't capture the fish, it will die: hungred to die. This is the sea, and, this is the nature.

  • Poser4.0--Used to create the charactor and perform the action of charactor.
  • Bryce4.0--Used to make the scene
  • PhotoShop 6.0--Used to make images and words

    Something needs to explain about this charactor. We didn't create a model for shark. Instead, we use the dolphin model provided by the Poser 4's figure library and modified it to make it looks like a shark. We tried to created our own shark model with 3dMax, but we found it will take too much time and we have to give it up.

    step(1) Create cylinder(2) + cone, group them together
    step(2) Make this group to be positive
    step(3) Duplicate group and make the duplicate small in x and z plane
    step(4) Make this duplicate group to be negative
    step(5) Group the two groups
    step(6) Add glass texture
    Ground:
    step(1) Create 2D face polygon, enlarge size to be able to cover the entire scene
    step(2) Set the polygon up high which not showing in the view
    step(3) Add water texture
    step(4) Set: shadow(50,green), Fog(10-100,blue), Haze(0,white), Dome(38)
    Conclusion:
    In this project, we learned the basic idea of 3d animation. We got the basic skills in 3d applications. For instance, we knew how to control the position of each part of the object,the movement of the carmeria and its effect and the basic knoweledge of how to create the 3d model, texture and so on. Especially those skills in Poser and Bryce.
