It turns out that Cedar Rapids Iowa is the home of Rockwell Collins which is one of the major manufacturers of stuff for the U.S. military. When I brought my Ada book into the office to decorate my desk, some of the guys I work with said that they had used it too! Imagine that. I guess in this city, the local college tries to teach the computer guys this kind of stuff so that they can be recruited by Rockwell straight out of school. I never really thought that I would meet somebody that used this stuff or live in a place where there were looking for somebody who had experience in this language, but it turns out that I live in the centre of it. Isn't life weird? Warren Bowley. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tip for life number : 486. I just wanted to see how you're doing and give you an update on what happens with 3F00 when you enter the real world... That course was the most frustrating of all the courses I took in university... I had never worked that hard in my life, but what really surprised me was that it is also the most like real life... Now that I am working as a software engineer, I spend time in meetings and dealing with people, much in the same way that 3F00 works... I guess the main difference is that EVERYONE works hard, not just 2 or 3 people and there aren't as many late nights in front of the terminal, just once in a while... I guess what I'm saying by all this babbling is THANKS! You presented an interesting challenge (yes, even ADA) that I worked hard at. Now only 6 months after graduating I own a three bedroom place with a garage in a nice part of Oakville (with a really big mortgage, but why not?)... Thanks again... If I'm in St. Catharines sometime when you're around, I'll buy you a Coke (fantastic beverage eh?).... See ya... (One more thing... I couldn't find anyone who uses ADA, but the structure of it really helped my C++ programming and my joy of taking on new challenges...) -------------------------------------------------------- Terence J. They are providing all moving expenses, along with paid airfare to vist family twice a year. I am supposed to begin work in May. As far as the salary, I was stunned by the figure they offered. Thanks for all your help and encouragement. Dean

They were very impressed that I had acquired in my years at Brock the programming languages of Ada 83 and Ada 95. They were equally impressed that I was taught this language. If possible I would appreciate it very much if you would take under consideration, the approval of yourself as a reference to the above and to my resume. Thank you very much for everything.
